Checking in

I have so much going on in regards to my writing lately. I have like four different stories I'm working on.  I keep getting inspired with each of them at different times.  I know I need to focus on one, but it's hard right now because I hit a block with one story and another one starts flying.

I am working on a fourth book in The Home Series, even though I said it would only have three books.  The fourth one is told through Jesse's perspective and the storyline is loosely based on a friend's experience. I really hope I can pull it off.  I'd love to hear another part of Jesse and Riley's story.

I've also started working on Brandon and Mandy's story.  It's been strange writing about Carver and it not be about Jesse and Riley.  We'll see how this one pans out.

There are two others I'm working on right now too and I think the next book I release will probably be one of these two.  I really don't have a title right now, but I think I may call it "Remember to Breathe".  Not sure though.  Titles are what I struggle with more.

Anyway....just wanted to check in!

It's Finally Done!

Carry Me Home is now available on Amazon.  I'm actually kinda sad that the series is over.  I'm not ready to say goodbye to Riley and Jesse.  Maybe I'll revisit Carver again someday.  Anyway...I hope you enjoy the conclusion!

Another Update

I posted earlier that I'd finished the first draft of Carry Me Home.  I was so excited to have the first draft finished, but then I started re-reading it and I was not happy.  It didn't sound right and I didn't like the way it flowed, so I started rehashing it.  I didn't change the storyline, I just made it better by taking unnecessary stuff out and adding some scenes to it that helps keep continuity with the first two books.  I finished it last night and plan to do some tweaking tonight before sending it off to some beta readers for their updated opinions.  I'm just so anxious to get it out there.  However, I don't want to sacrifice quality, so now I'm hoping it'll be ready with in the next few weeks.  Writing is such a frustrating, but rewarding process.

Beta Time

I just finished a read through of the first draft of "Carry Me Home" and send it off to two beta readers.  I'm anxiously and nervously awaiting their thoughts so I can proceed from there.  Now...perhaps I'll start writing the first chapter of my next project.  Just don't know which one I should begin...

Here's the cover for Carry Me Home!  We're on the home stretch!  As usual, Keary Taylor did an amazing job on the design!

First Draft...Done!

After pestering my husband for the last hour about how it should end, I just wrote the last paragraph and have officially finished the first draft of Carry Me Home!  Now onto the fun...or not so fun part of re-reading, revising, and editing.  I'm hoping it'll be an easy process and available within the next month. :-)

Carry Me Home Update

Just a quick update on the third book in The Home Series.  I am on the last leg of Carry Me Home!  I'm just about done with the first draft.  After that, I have to edit and revise and the cover is currently being designed.  My hope is, it'll be ready for public consumption within a month.  I'm anxious to get the rest of Jesse and Riley's story out there and begin work on a new project that's been stewing in my head for the last couple of months.

Carry Me Home's been harder to write than I thought.  I've had a much, much bigger response to Last Train Home and Far From Home than I ever expected and I'm so grateful for that.  I've gotten so many emails from people I don't know from all over the country telling me how much they've loved the series and can't wait for the last book.  Because of this, I'm really scared of disappointing people. I want to find the perfect ending to their story.  I think it's on track now and I'm anxious to get it out there!  I'll continue to post more updates as it gets closer to being done!
